Olympic Swimmer, competing in the 2012 London Games.
Raises her own chickens to avoid factory-farmed eggs, and also tends a backyard organic veggie garden.

Usain Bolt
Champion Olympic Splinter, competing in the 2012 London Games.
Racing to save threatened species as ambassador for culture for The Zeitz Foundation, a nonprofit aimed at protecting and managing ecosystems in a sustainable way.

Kelly Slater
Nine time World Surfing Champion.
He set up the Kelly Slater Foundation, a nonprofit that raises money to help fund social and environmentally conscious charities. He also recently starred in a public service announcement for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in which he describes how ocean pollution washes up and sickens many surfers after heavy rains.

Leilani Munter
Racecar Driver, and an Award Winning Documentarist, who uncovers the dolphin slaughtering in Japan.
A biology graduate, Munter's a huge advocate for sustainable biofuels, and she's challenging the racing industry to adopt cleaner fuels.

Will Witherspoon
American Football Linbacker, player in the NFL.
Founder of Shire Gate Farm in Missouri, the Tennessee Titan linebacker raises Animal Welfare Approved grass-fed cattle.

Laird Hamilton & Gabrielle Reece
Hamilton, a Legend Surfer and Reece, a former Pro Beach Volleyball standout.
Both of them helps to promote International Coastal Cleanups. Proponents of clean energy who, the couple also spoke out during the 2010 BP Gulf oil spill, urging citizens to support a ban on oil drilling.

Ovie Mughelli
NFL Fullback of Saint Louis Rams.
Served as a guest speaker at a meeting bringing together sports industry leaders, athletes, and Environmental Protection Agency officials to outline sports sustainability issues like saving energy and reducing waste at pro sports venues.


Carmelo Anthony & LeBron James
New York Knicks' Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James, of the 2012 NBA Champion Miami Heat.
Anthony made a sizable donation to his alma mater Syracuse University to help build one of the most energy-efficient sports complexes in the country. James helped promote bike riding and green living through Nickelodeon's Green Help Campaign.

Robert Eduard Machado ( Rob Machado )
American Professional Surfer Athlete.
He created The Rob Machado Foundation, a nonprofit foundation created to support charities dedicated to environmental programs in Southern California.

The Philadelphia Eagles
Working with Natural Resources Defense Council, the Eagles launched its "Go Green" program in 2003, making it one of the first professional sports teams to ever develop and implement a meaningful program geared at reducing environmental impact.

There are several more athletes and sports enthusiast out there who practice green and eco friendly living. If you think i've miss someone you though i should have counted, well at least you know they deserve. These are just some of the renowned athletes that are competing or may not be included in the 2012 Olympic games, but are pursuing to have a better environment for us to live.
